Personal Training
What I offer
-

Personal Training
Personal training sessions in Helensburgh and Dumbarton, tailored entirely to you. We work on what you need — strength, cardio, mobility, sport-specific conditioning — and build from where you are, not where someone else is. Sessions can include boxing and kickboxing elements if you want something a bit different.
-

Nutrition
Practical nutritional guidance that works alongside your training — not a rigid plan you’ll abandon after a fortnight. We’ll focus on what you can actually sustain, so that food supports your goals rather than fighting against them.
-

Online Training Programmes
Based outside Helensburgh, or just prefer to train on your own schedule? I design personalised training programmes with support and check-ins built in, so you're never just left with a spreadsheet and a prayer. Online training works. If you put the effort in, I'll match it.
-

Pre and Postnatal Training
Safe, appropriate exercise during and after pregnancy, with a PT who is specifically qualified in this area. Whether you’re looking to stay active during pregnancy or rebuilding fitness and strength after having a baby, we’ll work at your pace and do it properly.
-

Combat Sports
Train for performance in combat sports, or use boxing and kickboxing elements to mix up your workouts and make cardio actually interesting. Coached by a Boxing Scotland coach and black belt in Taekwondo.

New to the gym?
Not sure where to start, or what to do when you get there? You're not alone — and you don't need to figure it out by yourself. I work with a lot of people who felt like the gym wasn't really for them, until it was. No jargon, no judgement, just a sensible place to start.
What working with me looks like.
You’ll get qualified, no-nonsense exercise and nutrition guidance.
II know my stuff. I’m an experienced, fully qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor — Level 3 qualified in personal training, with specialist qualifications in pre and postnatal exercise and nutrition. I’m also a spin instructor, Boxing Scotland coach, and a black belt in Taekwondo who coaches taekwondo and kickboxing. I work with women and men across a wide range of goals and starting points, including clients returning to fitness after pregnancy, people new to training, and those looking to add structure to an existing active lifestyle.
You’ll get results.
I know what works. Seeing my clients get results is genuinely the best part of this job — so whatever your target, whether that’s strength gains, weight loss or mastering your first pull-up, we’ll build an informed plan and work towards it together. It’ll be hard sometimes. But it’ll be enjoyable. That’s what actually gets results.
You’ll get support.
I wasn’t always a trainer — it took my own fitness journey to get me here. After my kids were born I was overweight and making every excuse not to exercise. So I know exactly what that feels like — the resistance, the self-doubt, the trying to fit it all in. A lot of my clients are women in a similar position, and many of them specifically wanted a female PT they could feel comfortable with from the start. Whatever your starting point, we’ll set realistic goals and a plan to get there. You’ll need to put in the work — but I’ll support you every step of the way.
You’ll get plans just for you.
Everyone’s training goals are different, so every plan I write is different. My clients include people getting into fitness for the first time, athletes adding strength or cardio work to their existing training, new mums getting back to exercise after pregnancy, and people with health challenges who want to be as strong and independent as they can be. Whatever you’re working towards, we start from where you are — not where someone else is.
You’ll enjoy it.
When I first got into fitness, it took me a while to find my thing. I did classes and started running, but it was only when I found something I really loved that it all clicked — training and eating well had a purpose, because they made me better, fitter, stronger. It was no longer something I ‘had’ to do. That’s the key. Find your thing. Keep it interesting. Find your people. I can help with all of that.
You can enjoy exercise, enjoy the process and get great results..
Why choose MacFit PTFitness is for everyone.
I believe exercise can and should be enjoyable — not a chore, not something you dread, but something that genuinely fits your life.
When you work with me you’re joining a community of like-minded people. We work hard, have a laugh, and don’t take ourselves too seriously. Follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see what our sessions actually look like.
“Mac is the perfect choice for a PT. Knowledgeable but also makes it fun and accessible. If you're thinking about it, just do it and you won't regret it.”
