Sometimes, you just want a female PT. Someone who understands what it's like to be in your body — the changes it goes through, the confidence that can wobble, the fact that you're already juggling a lot before you even think about adding exercise to the mix.

That's what I'm here for.

I'm Mary-Anne Cameron — a Level 3 qualified personal trainer. I work with women of all ages and all fitness levels, from complete beginners who haven't exercised in years, to people returning to fitness after pregnancy, to women who are already active but want more structure, support, and results.

Some women prefer a female personal trainer.

There's no single reason — and that's fine. For some women it's about feeling comfortable during a workout, particularly when it involves movements that feel exposing or exercises that require physical correction. For others it's about wanting someone who has personal experience of the things they're going through — hormonal changes, pregnancy and recovery, body image, the particular kind of tiredness that comes with doing everything for everyone else.

Whatever your reason, it's valid. And it's more common than you might think.

I work with a lot of women who have told me, often with a bit of embarrassment, that they'd been putting off getting a PT specifically because they weren't sure how they'd feel with a male trainer. You don't need to justify that preference — you just need to find the right person.


What I Offer

I work with women across a range of goals and starting points:

1-2-1 personal training

Sessions in Helensburgh and Dumbarton, built around you, your schedule, and where you want to get to.

Online personal training

Flexible programmes for women across Scotland who want coaching and accountability without needing to be local.

Pre and postnatal training

Safe, appropriate exercise during and after pregnancy, with someone who is qualified in this area and takes it seriously.

General fitness, weight loss and strength

Whatever your starting point, we can build something sustainable that actually fits your life.


A bit about me

I'm a Level 3 qualified personal trainer with experience in pre and postnatal exercise, combat sports and kickboxing fitness, and general strength and conditioning. I've been where a lot of my clients are — not always feeling confident, not always knowing where to start, trying to fit training around the rest of life.

I train clients from Helensburgh, Dumbarton, Cardross and online across Scotland. Sessions are genuinely enjoyable — I care about the long game, not just quick results, and we’ll start wherever you are right now.
